1968 280 SL Mercedes Sports Coupe with detachable roof and manual built in canvas roof cover. B.C. Collector Vehicle plates B50-745. Brand new in June 1968 and has been a one family vehicle ever since. First Owner, my Father June 1968 July 1986. Second registered owner, my Mother July 1986 – May 2001. Third registered Owner, myself, May 2001 – to date. 2018 will mark its 50th birthday. My father, being a Mechanical Engineer bought our 280 SL (new in the world of fuel injection) for my Mother on February the 14th 1968.
