For sale here is my 1959 Ford Ranchero. This car, although, frame off restored in 1989 has always been used as a driver. It was never intended to be a show car by any of its owners. The best I can tell is the engine and transmission were changed out by the second or third owner in early 2000 to upgrade the power train. The car came stock with a 292 Y-block and Ford-O-Matic 2 speed transmission. The then owner replaced that with a 352 FE and Ford-O-Matic 3 speed transmission. After purchasing this car in 2008, I used it as a daily driver myself. In 2009, I semi (on frame)re-restored and painted it again. Although it is not a concourse show car and was never intended to be, it is a good looking street car from the 50s and drives great. In 2015 I replaced the 352 FE and Ford-O-Matic with a newer and freshly shop rebuilt 351W engine and a more modern C-6 transmission. This has less than 500 miles on it. The transmission was rebuilt at the same time with a light shift kit for firm shifts. I also added a BandM 1800 stall torque convertor at that time. The engine is basically stock except for a mild Comp Cams RV torque cam to add pulling power. I also installed an aftermarket 4 barrel manifold and carburetor. It has electronic ignition. I added power steering, power brakes (discs up front, drums in the back) and cold A/C. All the glass is perfect and it has a new windshield. Too much to list it all, but suffice it to say that every single item underneath in rebuilt or new. This includes the driveline, brake system, suspension etc. Must see to appreciate. This is a perfect daily driver for anyone looking for a 50s style car.
